Adelmira Garner
Adelmira Garner, 78, Crane, Missouri was born June 17, 1942 in San Angelo, Texas and departed this life March 19, 2021 in her home surrounded by family.
Adelmira was a resident of the area since 1981 coming from California. She was a high school graduate and had worked as a cook at Crane R-III school serving children for 24 years. Adelmira was a member of the Hilltop Methodist Church.
Adelmira worked in the cotton field in her younger years and she was married at the age of 28. She did not learn to cook until her marriage and cooking became her talent. She was an active member of Hilltop Church and when the Church considered expanding their building, Adelmira was the first person who wanted to help raise money by having a fish fry in the Crane City Park. She cooked at Church Camp and at the Crane Senior Citizens Center after her retirement. Adelmira was the daughter of a blind Baptist Minister which influenced her service to the church. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School most of her life.
Adelmira was preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Hilaria Hernandez Cuellar, two sisters, Anita Elizondo and Adelina Lopez. She is survived by her three daughters, Amanda Ann Warren, Gentry, Arkansas, Elizabeth Jean Garner, West Fork, Arkansas and Heather Marie Garner, Crane, Missouri; two brothers, Ananias Cuellar and Amos Cuellar of Texas; two sisters, Arzeneth Valencia and Ayda Klee of Texas, one grandson, Lucas Warren, other relatives and friends. She will be mourned and missed by all who had the chance to know and love her.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Hilltop Methodist Church Crane, Missouri. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery under the care of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
