Barbara Louise Crabtree, 74 was born October1, 1944 in Sanger, California to George and Rena Hedrick Hopper and departed this life January 11, 2019 with her family at her side at Cox Medical Center South Springfield, Missouri.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of the area and member of the Galena Community Church. She was a hard worker having worked at the garment factory, casket factory and spending the last 25 years working at Silver Dollar City. She loved her family and was always looking out for them. She enjoyed shopping and walking her dogs. Barbara also loved spending time with her brother and sisters. Barbara gave the gift of life by being an organ donor.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Wanda Jean Carr.
Survivors include her husband Tom of the home; a daughter, Debra Steele and husband Bruce of Crane, Missouri; a son Scott Crabtree and wife Tammy of Nixa, Missouri; a brother, Jack Hopper and wife Janet of Galena; six sisters, Betty Anderson and husband Hap of Springfield, Missouri, Dorothy Burk of Ponce De Leon, Missouri, Joyce Kinnett and husband JL of Lebanon, Missouri, Brenda Eakins and husband Larry of Galena, Sandra Litle of Springfield and Sheryl Walker and husband Bill of Fort Smith, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Houston Steele and wife Maggie, Kelsey Steele, Seth Steele, Hayden Crabtree and Hunter Crabtree many other relative and many friends.
Funeral services will be held January 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Burial was at the Galena Community Cemetery Galena, Missouri. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be given to purchase an
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for the North Stone County First Responders. Donation
will be accepted at the funeral home.
