Barbria June Steele, Crane, Missouri was born on July 17, 1934 in Stone County, Missouri to Asa and Goldie (Wright) Raper and entered heaven on November 22, 2020 at the age of 86.
Barbria was a graduate of Hurley High School.
On January 2, 1954 Barbria married Donald Steele and after spending their first year in Kansas City, Missouri they made their home in Crane.
Barbria loved to cook and she made pies for the Grill Café in Crane for many years. Shen would bake your favorite pie, cake or cookies for your birthday and was always there with her pot of vegetable soup when you needed it. Barbria worked for Crane Manufacturing, The IGA and Lower Locker Plant as well as a housekeeper in Branson, Missouri. She loved to sew, garden and play the piano.
Barbria is survived by her three children, Sheila (Gary) Moreland of Crane, Jennifer (Marty) Vanderhoof of Aurora, Missouri and Bruce (Debra) Steele of Crane; eight grandchildren, Gretchen (Michael) Glossip of Crane, Johnna White of Billings, Missouri, Briceton (Candi) Vanderhoof of Aurora, Brian (Kelsey) Moreland of Clever, Missouri, Kaala (Nathan) Langley of Crane, Houston (Maggie) Steele of Crane, Kelsey (Devin) Shickel of Republic, Missouri and Seth Steele of Crane; six great grandchildren, Mariah (Jordan) Pitts of Billings, Emma (Kyle) Lebow of Clever, Dylan Glossip of Crane, Racee Jennings of Billings, Daisy Vanderhoof of Aurora and Reed Langley of Crane; Great Great Grandchildren Weston Hooten, Kyler and Maverick Pitts and Kaysen and Noah Lebow; a great grandson and granddaughter on the way and a special friend Wayman Clark; sister-in-law Elnora Raper and Kay (Len) Bequette of Marionville and Janice (Bill) Barton of Sedalia, Missouri; Brother-in-law's Jack (Teresa) Steele of Greenwood, Missouri, Eddie Steele of Livonia, Michigan; Harold (Leann) Steele and Gary (Snady) Steele all of Crane; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Barbria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, her sister and brother in law Betty and L.D. Maxwell and brothers Bob Raper and Bill Raper.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, November 27, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in Crane Community Cemetery, Crane, Missouri. Visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri.
