Brenda Louise Edwards, 76, Galena, Missouri was born July 21, 1948 in Liberal, Kansas to Edgar and Gladys Hamblin Christian and departed this life August 20, 2024 in her home.
Brenda and her family had lived in the area for the past 34 years coming from Wichita , Kansas.
She loved attending church and was the First Lady Pastors wife to Bob Edwards, pastor of the Land-marks Apostolic church in Galena. She loved all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brenda loved spending time with them while flower gardening and being a big part of their lives in collection of so many fun things. She loved sharing and teaching her love of the Native American Heritage, family genealogies, practicing and instilling love, pride and respect. She collected horse's and always said, “l will ride like the wind someday”.
Brenda was the exceptional example of a woman of Proverbs 31: 10-31.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Charlene Nance and Christine Ready.
Survivors include her husband, Bob of the home; a son, Robert L. Edwards and wife Rochelle of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three daughters, Robyn Bowling of Elsey, Missouri Melinda L. Call and husband Samuel and Amanda Schwarz and husband Luke all of Galena; a sister, Janice Massey and husband Tom Santana, Kansas; ten grandchildren, Bobby Edwards, Stephen Edwards, Brandon Bowling, Bryan Bowling, Brent Bowling, Moriah Bowling, Marissah Bowling, Jacob Call, Andrew Call and Elizabeth Call, great grandchildren, Jeremiah Bowling, Colton Bowling and Kierra Bowling; a special niece, Sherry Ready other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday. August 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Westrip Funeral Home. Burial was in in Galena Community Cemetery Galena, Missouri. Visitation was from from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
