Carol Lee Maples, 84, of Elsey Missouri entered his eternal home on August 7th 2025 at his home.

He was born at home on Wheeler Branch Road on June 15th 1941 to RV and Carrie (Whiteleather) Maples.

He spent his early years attending Cave Springs School where his sister Marie was his teacher.  He graduated from Galena High School in 1959.  Carol Lee married the love of his life, Alma Jean Ragain, on August 12th 1961.  To this union one daughter was born, Karla.

From a young age throughout adult years he was involved on the farm helping out with chores, milking dairy cows and raising beef cattle.

He spent many years working in construction where he became very successful. He transitioned into custom cabinetry where he found happiness making people's homes beautiful. Throughout his career he met many people that became lifelong friends.

Carol Lee had a passion for hunting and fishing that took him to many different places including Alaska, Wyoming, Colorado andTexas, just to name a few.  He enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips with family and friends immensely.  He also took many family vacations that included snow skiing trips to Colorado with close friends and family.  His other interests also include restoring his 1939 Ford Coupe and a 1967 Ford Mustang, as well as attending many car shows with friends.  Becoming a grandparent was a special joy and he was a beloved PaPa to all 3 of his grandkids.

Carol Lee's life adventures became memorable stories that he loved to share with all. These stories and his tender heart are only a few of the many things we will treasure and miss the most.  He loved life and his family, as we loved him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Howard Maples,  sister Marie Cook, and an infant brother, Leon.

Carol Lee is survived by his wife, Alma, to whom he had been married 5 days short of 64 years.  Also survived by a daughter Karla (Vince) Williams, 3 grandchildren; Ashton (Jake) Brown, Amber (Brad) Cook, and Aaron (Jordan) Williams.  6 great-grandchildren; Jaxon Crowley, Saige Cook, Quinn Williams, Saylor Cook, Wilkes Brown and Dayton Williams, brother R.L.
