Charles Oliver Johnson, 83, Aurora, Missouri was born December 30, 1934 at Galena, Missouri to Edwin Hairm and Auda Mae Grisham Johnson and departed this life January 21, 2018 at Cox Monett, Missouri.
Charles had been a lifelong resident of the area and had served in the United States Army. He had worked as a chemical operator, he liked to play his guitar and sing. He loved to fish and work in his garden. He was a hard worker having worked three jobs when the children were growing up.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Alan and Eddie Johnson; two daughters, Sally Hicks and Sara Johnson; two brothers, Sam and Max Johnson and two grandsons, Daniel Grell and Wesley Hicks.
Survivors include, his wife, Alice of the home; a son Joe Johnson of Purdy, Missouri; two daughters, Jeanie Burk and husband Don of Crane, Missouri and Amy Sheridan of Branson, Missouri; a sister, Penny Brown of Exeter, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Burial will be at Crane Community Cemetery under the care of Westrip Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
