Charlotte (Scobee) Burk
Charlotte (Scobee) Burk entered the gates of Heaven on December 9, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born to Londa Ora (Teague) Scobee and Saint Paul Scobee on March 27, 1947 and was the fourth of six children. Charlotte spent over 53 years with the love of her life, Jerry Burk, who she married on December 25, 1968 and lovingly called “Burks.”
Charlotte was known for her contagious laugh, singing and playing the tambourine in church, going out of her way to help anyone in need, and her hugs and kisses at every hello and goodbye… and her tuna rolls and peanut butter fudge!
She has a host of nieces and nephews (and great nieces and nephews) she loved as her own and who loved her back even more. She could be found with her wooden spoon or fly swat when the kids were too rowdy, cheering in the stands at every ball game and celebrating graduations, babies, weddings and more. She never missed an opportunity to support or celebrate “her children.”
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Roberta (Scobee) Williams. She is survived by her husband Jerry; three brothers, Bob Scobee (Cindy) of Springfield, Missouri, Verle Scobee (Rowena) and Travis Scobee (Sheri) of Reeds Spring, Missouri, one sister, Pauline Cummings of Reeds Spring. She is already greatly missed by all who knew her. Her laughter and love will carry us through the coming days.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Martin Cemetery, North of Spokane, Missouri under the care of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri.
