He was a proud and devoted father to his daughters: Maggie Moore and her husband, Bailey Moore; Gracie Powell and her husband, Richard Powell; Sadie Ruhlman and her husband, Michael Ruhlman; and Lillie McMenamy and her fiancé, Isaiah Smith. Nothing brought Daryl greater joy than being “Papa” to his grandchildren: Murphy Moore, Miles Moore, Mitchell Moore, Billie Moore, Tatum Powell, and James Ruhlman. Daryl had a deep love for the outdoors and found great satisfaction in woodworking, caring for his beehives, and working with his hands. He was known for telling it like it was and never sugarcoating anything—an honesty that was sometimes blunt but always genuine. He would help anyone who needed it without hesitation. Those who knew him well will fondly remember that he made the best funnel cakes around, a much-anticipated treat available only during the annual Crane Broiler Festival. Daryl Robert McMenamy will be remembered for his authenticity, his unwavering love for his family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
