Densyl L. Mease
Densyl L. Mease was born on July 24, 1934 in Reeds Spring, Missouri to Wesley and Mae (Woods) Mease and departed this life on November 24, 2020 in Mercy Hospital Joplin, Missouri at the age of 86.
Densyl played basketball for Reeds Spring High School and was the first player inducted into the Reeds Spring High School basketball hall of fame. After High School, Densyl moved to Kansas City and worked for Rock Island Truck Lines. He met Wanda in Kansas City and they were married on April 2, 1955.
Densyl enjoyed square dancing, painting, the lake, collecting light houses, arrowheads and knives. He was active in the churches he attended. Densyl was also active as a Shriner in Kansas City and Shell Knob. Densyl and Wanda moved to Cape Fair, Missouri in 1996. After the death of Wanda in 2004, Densyl married Guyene Robison on June, 14th 2008 and lived in Edmond, Oklahoma where he worked as a Sergeant of Arms for the Oklahoma State Senate. When Guyene retired, they returned to Cape Fair and enjoyed the lake, family and friends.
Densyl was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda and three brothers, Divern Mease, Doug Mease and Bill Mease.
Densyl is survived by his daughter Patty (Bob) Woodruff; son Steve (Nancy) Mease; grandkids, Jennifer and Danny Woodruff; Jessica and Matthew Mease; his wife, Guyene and daughter, Kim (Phil) Sturdiven; son Scott Robison, Grandson Brent (Emily) Giles; great granddaughters Olivia and Brooklyn; a brother, Jim Mease and a uncle, Jim Mease, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 1 P.M. in Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Final disposition is cremation under the care of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri.
