Don Bonness of Crane, Mo departed this life May 8, 2024 at the age of 89. Don had been a resident of Birche Pointe nursing home in Springfield, Missouri for the past 4 years.
Don was a member of Crane lions club and the First Baptist Church of Crane.
Don worked for the city of Crane public works for over 30 year, before retirement. Don did maintenance and also did all the mowing of the city parks and grounds. He took great pride in his work and the city received lots of nice comments on how well the parks were kept.
Don was a good husband, stepdad and step grandfather.
Don was a man of not many words, soft spoken and kind hearted.
Don married Betty Hillman of Crane in 1976.
Don is preceded in death by his father and mother, Otto and Ina Bonness and his wife Betty.
Don is survived by his step son Rob and wife Tonya Edwards of Cape Fair, Missouri; four step grandchildren, Cassie Buss of Kansas City, Missouri, Wesley and wife Amanda Edwards of Republic, Missouri, Paige and husband Brian Reinstein of Marionville, Missouri and Olivia Edwards of Clever, Missouri as well as eight great grandchildren and other family and friends.
