Gary Sperlin Steele, 57, Crane, Missouri was born January 2, 1967 in Aurora, Missouri to John and Joan Logan Steele and departed this life September 3, 2024 in Colorado while on a bear hunting trip.
Gary was a lifelong resident of the Crane area and had worked as a truck driver. He was a hard worker taking care of the farm. Gary loved the mountains, going hunting in Colorado on several occasions. He loved his family, grandchildren and his dog, Sweet Pea. He also attended the Word of Life Church in Marionville, Missouri.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Don, Jack and Eddie and a sister, Janice Barton.
Survivors include his wife Sandy of the home; three sons, Mackenzie Steele and wife Schanda of West Plains, Missouri, Derek Roof of Galena, Missouri and Dalton Steele of Crane; two daughters Whitney Hoffman and husband Gary of Crane and Brittany Barnett and husband Tommy of Republic, Missouri; a sister, Kay Bequette of Marionville; a brother, Harold Steele and wife Leann of Crane; 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Crane Christian Church Crane, Missouri. Visitation will follow the service. Final disposition will be cremation under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane.
