He was born November 28, 1928 at Ethel, Missouri, the son of Louis and Letha Hogenson. He married Wava June Lee at Kansas City, Missouri, June 23, 1946. Perk retired 's from the AT&SF Railway with 40 years' service. He had lived in Cape Fair since 2001.
Perk is survived by his son Jerry (Stevi) Hogenson of Cape Fair; son-in-law Mike (Linda) Pumphrey, Wever, Iowa; grandsons, Matt (Misty) Hogenson of Cape Fair, Scott (Lynn) Pumphrey, Denmark, Iowa; granddaughters, Beth Hogenson Reeds Spring, Missouri, Deana (Kenny) Lair Burlington, Iowa; eight great grandchildren, Kelsey and Cody Cox, Lillian and Jack Doty, Tate and Jaycee and Josie and Gracie Pumphrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter and brother.
Cremation was handled by Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri, where family will meet with friends Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at Fairview Cemetery at Fort Madison, Iowa at a later date.
Family requested no flowers. Any donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or charity of choice.
