Helen Jane Williams, know by her friends as Janie had lived in Wheelerville, Missouri. She was born July 22, 1925,and left this life on earth to join her Heavenly family on January 7, 2019.
Janie was to Lena May Hinkle and Ed Edgar Allen at Durant, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Gerald Edward Williams, December 22, 1946 in Texas. They were married for 67 years until Gerald passed away November 1, 2013. Janie made it her main priority to take care of her husband, Gerald while he battled many ailments and surgeries. She cared for him day and night.
Together they moved to Missouri from La Marque, Texas with their children and bought a farm. Janie was a nurse early on, but became a stay at home mother after moving to Missouri to care for her family.
Janie joined the First Baptist Church in Crane, Missouri August 17, 1966 and was saved in Mildred Ponds Sunday School Class. Janie was devoted to her church family and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was the church librarian for 10 years until her sight declined due to macular degeneration. Janie loved to decorate the window in the library. She attended the Dorcus Woman's Sunday school class and also involved with the Tri County Baptist Association and WMU.
One of Janie's favorite past times was quilting, she would save material from the left over homemade clothes, she would make for her family. She took pride in picking out and piecing together her quilts made with love. She always planted a big garden and canned a lot of vegetables.
Preceding her death were her husband, Gerald Williams; and one granddaughter, Shanell Jane Williams.
Survivors include a daughter, Celeste Williams of Shell Knob, Missouri; a son, Jimmy Williams and spouse Ericka of Wheelerville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Shawn Williams and spouse Claire of Denver, Colorado, Caleb Williams, Gregory Harness and Sonny Rose Harness all of Marionville, Missouri; great grandchildren, Adylen Marie and Barret Carl Williams other relatives and friends. Janie will be missed dearly by all who had the chance to know and love her.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. under the care of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Burial was at the First Baptist Cemetery, Crane
