Henry Joseph Gebelin, 68, Crane, Missouri was born November 20, 1950 at Downey, California to Bud H. and Pal Nadine Raper Gebelin and departed this life October 31 at Mercy Hospital Springfield, Missouri.
Henry had served as an ICC Chief in the United States Navy for over 20 years spending time on the USS Enterprise from May 1975 to April 1980, LHA-5 USS Peleliu from September 1986 to December 1987 and on the USS Roanoke January 1988 to October 1990. Henry also served in Misawa, Japan from 1980 to 1983 before retiring in 1994 at the Great Lakes Naval Center. He also served 10 years in the reserves. He had wprked at the Stone County Assessor’s office for over 18 years. He loved his children and his grandchildren. He enjoyed helping other people and was a jack of all trades, doing projects around the house and working with wood.
Survivors include his wife Ina of the home and Scott of the home; two daughters, Kelly Johnson and husband Brad of Jasper, Missouri and Valeska Aldridge and husband Andrew of Springfield, Missouri; three brother Mike Gebelin and wife Gina of Mindenmines, Missouri Manuel Gebelin of Kansas City, Kansas and Rex Gebelin of Lockwood, Missouri; two sisters, Angela Redman and husband Kyle of Lockwood and Monica Yoho of Crescent, Nevada; four grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
