
Homer L. Cunningham was born October 26, 1936 in Marionville, Missouri to Lucille and Leonard Cunningham and departed this life on September 30, 2024 in his home in Aurora, Missouri.
Homer was a 1954 graduate of Marionville High School and had worked for Paul Mueller Company for 36 years cutting stainless steel. He loved spending time with his faithful, loving wife Shirley and traveling with his family. Homer loved taking care of his cattle and farm and spending time outdoors mowing and taking great care of his yard. He was a very good hearted, kind man who never met a stranger, enjoyed visiting with people.
On May 18, 1957 Homer married Shirley Painter and were married for 63 years before her passing in 2020. Homer was also preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lucille, a brother, Harold Cunningham and a great grandchild, Ford Dilbeck.
He is survived by his three daughters, Deborah (Gary) Hamilton of Edmond, Oklahoma, Delia (Randy) Cunningham Elliott of Springfield, Missouri and Sandra (Wendell) Goss of Kirbyville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Carley Dilbeck, Susan Weldy, Sarah and Amber Lindeman, Tyler and Casey Goss; great grandchildren, Gemma, Dahlia and Leo Dilbeck, Kellen, Keria, Brynn, Bowen Weldy and Jettelyn Goss, numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Burial was in will follow in OOF Cemetery Marionville, Missouri.
