Jerld McDonald “Mr. C” Cummings, 85, Galena, Missouri was born September 12 1936 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Joe and Pauline Armitage Cummings and departed this life June 23, 2023 in his home.
He was a life long member of the area and had worked as a teacher in the Springfield Public School system. He enjoyed gardening, canning, and was a very talented artist. He painted many of the local murals in the schools in the area. At one point in his life, he traveled the United States in a Volkswagen Bus, painting signs all over. In his sixties Jerld, took a horse and wagon through the country from Spokane to Oak Grove, Oklahoma just to be doing it. He was a very busy man and taught his children to use their gifts to glorify the Lord.
Survivors include, his wife Mary of the home; two sons, Danny Leon Cummings and wife Gwen of Spokane and Rob Eutsler and wife Kelly of Galena; three daughters Rebecca Jo Lugena and husband Brent of Shell Knob, Missouri, Lisa Williams and husband Scott and Shelley Whitted and husband Walter all of Galena; 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, other relatives and numerous friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday June 27, 2023 at 10:00 am at Eisenhour Cemetery Spokane under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri.
