Jerry Gipson, Republic Missouri was born February 12, 1937 in Crane Missouri to Frank and Lucille Hunter Gipson and departed this life November 30, 2025 at The Township Senior Living Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Jerry was a lifelong resident of the area and a long time member of the Crane Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Barber school and worked in Wichita, Kansas City, and Springfield before moving back to his hometown to open his own Barbershop in Crane. He was a Barber in Crane for over 60 years until his retirement in April 2015. He was married to his beloved Pauline Kastendieck Gipson for 65 years until she passed away in December 2021.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, George and Jack and his wife Pauline Kastendieck Gipson. Survivors include Two sons, Kent Gipson of Kansas City, Kevin Gipson and wife Linda of Springfield, and a daughter Karen Alderson of Shawnee, KS. He had three grandchildren, Stuart Gipson and wife Jessica of Rolla Missouri, Sam Gipson of Springfield, Missouri, and Kristen Alderson of Shawnee, Kansas. He also had three great grandchildren; Harper, Josiah, and Micah Gipson; other relatives and many friends.
Jerry will be remembered for his sense of humor, laughter, and love for his family. He never missed a basketball, baseball, football, concert, parade or any other event while his children were growing up.. He was a big sports fan, particularly KC Chiefs football. He also loved thoroughbred horse racing, and casinos.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 11 am at Westrip Funeral Home in Crane Missouri.
