Jerry Lee Hogenson of Cape Fair, Missouri passed on July 22, 2022 in his home after a sudden illness. He was born August 21, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Gerald “Perk” and Wava Hogenson. In 1967 he married Stephanie Norton and they live in Madison, Iowa where they began their family.
Jerry was employed by and retired from the Santa Fe Railroad, following in the footsteps of both his grandfathers, his father and uncle. Jerry’s work involved moving to serval states where he made many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlotte.
Survivors include his wife Stevi; son. Matt (Misty) Hogenson: daughter, Elizabeth Hogenson; grandchildren, Cody Cox, Kelsey Cox, Lillian Doty, Jack Doty, Jerimiah (Bailey) Marshall, Tori (Kyle) Burk, eight great grandchildren, other relative and friends
Jerry will be missed by many close friends, some special neighbors and his coffee group.
No services are planned per Jerry wishes. Final disposition is cremation under the car of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri.
