James Bruce Coones, 68, Aurora, Missouri was born May 7, 1955 in Sacramento, California to John and Ernestine Hill Coones and departed this life August 11, 2023 in his home.
Jim as he was know had live in the area since 1970 moving here from California. He had worked for Haddock Education Technologies installing Smart Boards in schools.
Jim loved the outdoors fishing, hunting, four wheeling, the mountains and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed sitting around a fire with his family and friends feeding them fish that he and his brother caught earlier in the week or even that day. Jim also enjoyed being in the deer woods during deer season whether he harvested a deer or not (preferred getting one).
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister Ginger Bertoglio.
Survivors include his wife Sharon of the home; three sons, Jamie Coones, James Merritt and Mitch Merritt; three daughters, Mamdi Anderson, Brandy Malpas and Samantha Landry; brother John Coones and wife Janet; sister, Judy Coones several grandchildren and great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. In Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Burial was in Wright's Cemetery Clever, Missouri.
