
Donald Joe Foster,78, Elsey, Missouri was born September 3, 1946 in Crane, Missouri to Homer Buchanan and Bessie Marie Bowling Foster and departed this life Wednesday, June 10, 2025 in his daughters home.
Joe was a life long resident of Elsey and lived on the family farm that has been in the family for over a hundred years. He was a member of the Bowling Chapel Church in Crane, Missouri. Joe worked for many years as a over-the-road truck driver, specializing in hauling over sized loads for the Paul Mueller Company. He loved to fish Stockton Lake with his buddies. He made the best marinade for chicken wings and appreciated a hot wood stove.
Joe spent many years helping Chris Hudson planting, growing and picking strawberries, vegetables and helped can many quarts of sauerkraut. He loved going to local farmers markets and visiting with folks.
Though out the many doctor appointments, hospital stays and treatments he tell people to come to the railroad tracks in Crane the weekend after July 4 and he would sell them the best tasting watermelon they ever ate..
Preceding him in death were his parents, Homer and Bessie; his wife, Lisa; a brother, Dale Leroy Foster; a sister, Sue Wayne Langley and a granddaughter, Hannah Marie Foster.
Survivors include, two daughters, Denise Dickens and husband Shelby of Galena and Cynthia Dwyer and husband Michael of Dryden, Ontario Canada; two sons, Kenny Foster and Tim Foster both of Galena; grandchildren, Zachary Dickens and wife Sasha of Clever, Missouri, Shadrach Dickens of Galena, Brian Foster of Springfield, Missouri, Sarrah Foster of Brookline, Missouri, Francque Pierce and husband Timothy of Clever, Cody Foster and Wisdom Foster both of Galena and Hannah Foster; thirteen great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Bowling Chapel Cemetery Crane, Missouri under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri.
