Joyce was devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending with her kids, grand kids and great grand babies. She also liked flowers and gardening.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Truman Lee Essary; parents, Ora Sadie (Wells) Brown; 3 brothers, Joe Brown (Janet), Carl Brown (Elsie) and Donnie Brown (Cheryl); 1 sister, Katherine (Don) Zahnter and 1 grandson, Connor Davis.
Survivors include, 2 son, Randy Essary and Tony Essary (Shelly) all of Galena, Missouri; 3 daughters, Michelle Starforth (Danny) of Galena, Missouri, Becky Johnson (JL) and Deborah Williams (Scott) both of Crane, Missouri; 1 sister, Barbara Doty of Aurora, Missouri; 2 sister's in law, Reva Suttles (Joe) of Willard, Missouri and Treva Larsen (Jim) of Galena, Missouri; 7 grand kids, Jaci Johnson , Dakota (Haley) Essary, Garrison Reel, Jalee (Boren) Vong Ashlynn (John) Raub, Owen Essary and CJ Johnson; 9 great grand babies, Bella, Sadie, Easton, Myles, Beau. Louella, Willow, Maverick and (soon to be) Ridge.
Funeral services are Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. At Crossroads Church, Galena, Missouri Burial will be at Nolan Cemetery, Galena, Missouri under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. In the church.
