Joyce Beatrice Hodges, Galena, Missouri was born August 28, 1931 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Richard T. and Cecil Curtis Compton and departed this life January 11, 2019 at the Ozark Methodist Manor Marionville, Missouri.
Joyce was a member of the First Baptist Church Crane, Missouri for the past 2 years, prior to that she had been a member of the Southside Baptist Church Aurora, Missouri for many years. Her faith and church family were a very important part of her life. Joyce was a big hugger, who always had a smile and was willing to help others and put them first. She loved her family and her sweets, she also enjoyed playing dominoes, reading and had worked as an over the road truck driver with her husband Bob.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband Billy Joe Angus and her second husband Robert "Bob" Hodges.
Survivors include a daughter Deborah Bowling and husband Eddie of Galena; a son, Richard Angus and wife Vickie of Republic, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jacinda Weldy, Nathan Bowling, Billy Joe Angus and Tonya Ross; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, other relative and friends.
Funeral services were held January 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Burial was at Maple Park Cemetery Aurora, Missouri under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri.
