Patricia June Johnson passed from this life July 23, 2023 at the age of 83 years. She was born in Stone County, Missouri on January 9, 1940 to Burnel and Minerva Bloomer Curtis. On September 18, 1954 she married James “Dude” Johnson. To this union of 68 years were born 6 children and from these 6 children there were 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a host of bonus-grand and great grandchildren that she loved as her own.
Known as June to everyone, she worked at the Aurora Shoe Factory, the Crane School Cafeteria, ran a daycare, “Pixie Land”, out of the home for many years, and worked as a CNA doing home health visits until her retirement. Over the years she was prone to work in multi-level marketing opportunities with family and friends. She loved her time working with her daughter and grand-daughters in Mary Kay as an independent beauty consultant.
As long as her health allowed (and sometimes when it didn’t), she was passionate about fishing. Whether from a boat, lake bank, or her son’s pond, she loved to fish. Even in recent months when she was having a “good day”, she could be found digging worms to add to her collection for when she got to go fishing next.
June lived life to the fullest and left a legacy of laughter, orneriness, enduring patience and love for her family. Hosting a house full of those she loved was a highlight for her and her door was always open. There was always something in the fridge she would whip up to make sure no one left hungry. But physical hunger was second to her concern for ensuring everyone she met was spiritually filled. June was a member of the Hilltop Church and served alongside Dude working with the youth of the church and community for many years. She drew her strength from the Lord and shared her faith with those she met. She served as a mighty prayer warrior for her family and friends.
June is survived by her husband Dude, her children Marchia (Wayne) Blades of Crane, Missouri. Doug (Alice) Johnson of Crane, Missouri. Andy (Amy) Johnson of Springfield, Missouri. Kelly (Amy) Johnson of Marshall, Arkansas. Faron (Linsey) Johnson of Galena, Missouri. Daughter-in-Law Kelley Johnson of Galena, Missouri, 20 Grand Children, 23 Great-Grandchildren, a host of bonus grand and great grandchildren, and one sister Loretta (Dewey) Williams.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Randy Johnson, and seven siblings.
Funeral services were held Wedensday, July 26, 2023 at the Hilltop Church Crane, Missouri. Burial was in Bowling Chapel Cemeery Crane under the crae of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri.
