Edna June O’Dell, 87, Crane, Missouri was born June 7, 1926 in Hurley, Missouri to Early P. and Christine Irene Mitchell Young and departed this life February 6, 2014 in her home.
June had been a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church, Crane, Missouri. She loved spending time with her family and watching her Grandchildren play ball.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Buddy Young, Katherine Hood and Archilene Slaughter.
Survivors include her two children, Gary T. O’Dell and wife Anna of Springfield, Missouri, Christine Chastain of Republic, Missouri four grandsons, Scott and Stacy Chastain of Republic, Sean and Danielle Chastain of Crane, Matt and Brandi Chastain of Republic, Missouri and Shannon Chastain of Nixa; a sister, Barbara McHolland and husband Glen of Crane; 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Westrip Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery Crane under the care of Westrip Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.
