Gerold Leon Nelson, 80, Marionville, Missouri was born June 26, 1941 in Springfield, Missouri to Donald Leon and Evalena Tutor Nelson and departed this life June 26, 2021 in his home.
Leon had lived the biggest part of his life in the area and had operated the Dari-Q for several years. In his retirement Leon would go to the local coffee shops, solving the world’s problems his way. A republican, (depending on who’s asking), he always loved a good debate. Leon would often ask people if they knew Leon Nelson just to see what kind of response they would give. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren and was the best Papa in the world. Leon left a legacy that will continue for years to come.
Survivors include his wife, Lil of the home; son, Dustin Leon Nelson of Nixa, Missouri; two daughters, Dana Michelle Meyer and husband Eric and Mitzi Ann Owens and husband David all of Marionville; two sisters Donna Combs and husband Harold of Springfield and Sandy Turner of Granby, Missouri; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
