Leonard Leo Bequette, 82, Marionville, Missouri was born November 26, 1940 in the City of St. Louis, Missouri to Leonard J. and Flavia Schmitz Bequette and departed this life December 24, 2022 in his home.
Leonard had served in the Untied States Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church Marionville, Missouri. He had worked as an electrician for the Boeing Company and the Burlington Railroad and was a member of the IBEW. He also worked in construction for many years. Leonard was an Eagle Scout early in life and loved to travel, camping and RVing to 49 states. He was also a member of the Masons, the Scottish Rite and Eastern Star. Leonard enjoyed antiquing, woodworking, crafts and just sitting on his porch eating cookies.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a son Allen Bequette.
Survivors include his wife of over 54 years, Kay Bequette of the home; a daughter Angela Brubeck (Daniel) of Marionville; five grandchildren, Malaika Cider (Daniel), Hannah Berden (Trevor), Aaron Brubeck (Christina), Lydia Norman (Cobie) and Joe Brubeck (Kiah); five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janice Barton (Bill) of Sedilia, Missouri; three brothers-in- law, Eddie Steele of Michigan, Harold Steele (Leann) and Gary Steele (Sandy) all of Crane, Missouri, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held January 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Crane Community Cemetery under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Final disposition will be cremation.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
