Gladys “Marie” Bowling of Crane, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2020.
She was born on April 29th, 1938 north of Aurora to Earl and Winnie (Shockley) Felton. Marie was the youngest of 5 children. She married R.A. Bowling on October 29th, 1953, of which they enjoyed almost 67 years of marriage and together they had 5 children. In her younger years she loved her life on the farm and working as a hairdresser. Marie loved to help others in any way that she could, she never knew a stranger and her home was always open. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, jig dancing and spending time with her family. Marie was a member of the Elm Branch Christian Church.
Marie is survived by her brother Junior Felton, children Robert M. Bowling of Crane, Brenda Edmondson and husband Phil of Marionville, Kevin Bowing and wife Susan of Aurora, Tena Foster and husband Larry of Crane, Nena Wegrzyn and husband John of Crane. Her grandchildren or Nanny’s Angels as she called them, Travis Bowling and wife Megan, Kerry Gold and husband Clayton, Eric Edmonson, Mindy Forester and husband Seth, Brandon Bowling and wife Ashley, Kristopher Bowling, Kindra Miller and husband Gus, Whitney Jackson and husband John Reed, Lauren Lippold and husband Nick, Johnathan Wegrzyn and wife Sarah, Josh Wegrzyn, Shanda Yardley and husband Brandon. And a host of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband R.A. Bowling, her parents, her sisters: Loretta Berry, Juanita Jones and Earlene Head.
Funeral services wereheld October 8, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home. Burial was in Osa Cemetery Crane, Missouri under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 Noon.
