Mary June Long, 86, Crane, Missouri was born to Robert and Grace McCullough on July 26th, 1937 and departed this life January 11, 2024 in her granddaughters home in Wentworth, Missouri.
Mary June was a hard worker all of her life. She loved working with her Dad and building fence and always bragged about their work. She worked at the garment factory, managed the U-Save Store and worked at the casket factory. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her hot rolls were famous at every family function and she was always willing to teach you her recipes, but you just couldn’t come quite close enough to top it! You could usually find her dancing in her kitchen and beckoning you to join her. Her family was the topic of almost all of her conversations. She was very proud of her large family and bragged about her grandchildren to anyone that would listen. The walls in her home were lined with pictures of her children and grandchildren and she would have to show them all to you if you hadn’t seen them yet.
Mary June had the biggest heart and full of compassion for everyone she met. She could be ornery and quick witted, and she didn’t take guff from anyone! Always there for someone in need and never expecting anything in return. She truly touched the lives of so many people.
Preceded her in death were her parents Robert and Grace McCullough, husband, George “Sonny” Long, brother, Newt McCullough, and one granddaughter, Emily Rose Hudson.
