
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Loraine (Brown) Batson, devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a friend to many. Loraine passed away peacefully on Friday May 23, 2025.
Loraine dedicated her life to her family. She was a homemaker, alongside her responsibilities at home, she also worked outside the home, demonstrating her tireless commitment to providing for her family.
After raising her children, Loraine and her beloved husband, Donnie, made Cape Fair their permanent home. There, they embraced the community and built a life filled with joy and companionship.
Loraine was a dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 4278 for many years. Through her involvement, she forged lasting friendships that became a second family to her. She cherished the bonds she created within the Eagles Auxiliary and the camaraderie they shared.
Loraine will be deeply missed by her husband, Donnie, her children, her grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.
Preceding her in death were her parents LeRoy and Millie Brown; 3 sisters, Joan Young, Beverly Walker and Ginnie Smith and a grandson, Jacob High.
Survivors include her spouse, Donnie Batson of Cape Fair; 4 daughters, Delilah Glasco (Mike) of Nevada, Missouri, Desiree Rocovich (Marty) of Chandler, Arizona, Robin High of Springfield, Missouri and Julie Beshears (Brandon) of Springfield; 3 sons, Gary Fortney (Stephanie) of Springfield, Darrell Agnew (Shauntene) of Joplin, Missouri and Bruce Batson of Springfield; 3 sisters, Carrie Oetker of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Juanita Coffer (Gary) of Stallion Springs, California and Brenda Johnson of Aurora, Missouri: 3 brothers, Roy Dean Brown of Arizona, City Arizona, Juan Brown of Galena, Missouri and John Brown of Mesa, Arizona; 23 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren other relative and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. At Bowling Chapel Cemetery, Crane, Missouri. A celebration of life will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. In the Eagle Lodge 8089 State Hwy 76 Cape Fair, Missouri.
Final disposition was cremation under the care of Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri.
