Mitchell Ray Henard, 70, Brookline, Missouri was born June 29, 1948 at Salinas, California to J. D. and Betty Hargrove Henard and departed this life February 15, 2019 at Cox Medical Center South Springfield, Missouri.
Mitchell and Julie have lived in the area for the past two years coming from Dallas, Texas. Julie and him loved each other more than anything. He worked as a Truck Driver where he was closing in on three millions miles of safe driving and was a member of the teamsters for over 26 years. He enjoyed horses, watching football and the news about politics. Early in life Mitchell liked to race motorcycles and drag racing. Mitchell loved to go deer hunting in Arkansas where his family lived. He was a hard worker and never knew a stranger and had a huge heart for everyone, yet not taking anything from anyone.
Survivors include his wife, Julie of the home; four sons, Mitch Henard and wife Jennifer of Little Rock, Arkansas, Luke Henard and wife Patty of Conway, Arkansas, Brice Gwinn and Quinton Stanton both of Monett, Missouri; a daughter, Denise Seckler and husband Jimmy of Monett; four brother, Randy Henard and wife Rita of Little Rock, Jay Henard and wife Susie of Waldo, Arkansas, Carl Henard of Little Rock and Tony Henard and wife Vickie of Garland, Texas; a sister, Janis Hodges of Garland; eight grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Mitchell was a organ donor.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Burial will be at Crane Community Cemetery, Crane. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to help with the funeral arrangements.
