Paul John Connelly II departed this life in his home in Hurley, Missouri from Pancreatic Cancer on December 21, 2024. Paul was born July 20, 1953 to Leo and Darlene (Smith) Connelly of Afton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father Leo Connelly, son Leo Connelly, daughter Agnes Connelly, sister Diane Trosthelm, brothers Joe Connelly, Patrick Connelly, John Connelly, and Kevin Connelly.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Connelly of Hurley; mother, Darlene Connelly;Two sons; Brian Howard and wife Mollie Howard of Sparta, Christopher Howard and wife Brandi Howard of Galena. Two daughters; Roseanne Johnson of Kirbyville, and Kaylee Baxter of Galena. Five sisters; Cheri Aeschliman, Janet Connelly, Amy Wehrli, Beth Hewitt & Patricia Cortez . Two brothers; Dan Connelly & James Connelly. 19 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, multiple cousins, several nieces and nephews.
Paul was a truck driver for many years, then moved on to carpentry, mechanics, electronics, investigations, diagnostics, and advisor on just about everything. He loved spending most of his time with family and friends at the lake, shodeos, riding horses, and hanging out talking about the good ole days with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They often referred to him as "the man of steel" or "warrior". Paul would solve every problem with ease, and was tough in every obstacle that would come his way.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Westrip Funeral Home, Crane. Burial will follow in Crane Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
