Gary Leroy “Roy” Daugherty, age 51, son of Gary and Brenda Bowling Daugherty was born August 13, 1970 in Aurora, Missouri. Roy was the first child of four, He departed this life January 17, 2022.
            Roy was a lifelong resident of the Stone County area. He worked at V-Mar Farm Store for several years until changing careers and moving to Republic Services. Roy loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, his family and mostly his wife.
            Roy was married to the love of his life, Rebecca Medlin, on May 25, 2019. Between the two of them they had five children and six grandchildren
            Roy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett and Beulah Daugherty, Joe and Betty Bowling and his father Gary Daugherty. He is survived by his wife Rebecca, his mother Brenda, his two sons, Max and wife Taylor of Clever, Missouri and Jared of Hurley, Missouri; his step-children Cody Seibert of Hurley, Jordan Branstetter of Hurley and Breanna Branstetter of Hurley; three sisters Angel and husband of Bill Basnett of Clever, April and husband Dewayne Bradford of Highlandville, Missouri and Tina and husband Frank Pennington of Reeds; six grandchildren, Harper and Afton Seibert, Kenzley and Teddy Branstetter, Nicholas Meyers and Hudson Daugherty, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
            Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Bowling Chapel Cemetery, Crane, Missouri.
