Ruby Mae Gideon
Ruby Mae Gideon, 84, Cape Fair, Missouri was born May 2, 1928 in Walnut
Shade, Missouri to Nellie Otis Getman and departed this life April 12, 2013 in
Ozarks Mountain Regional Healthcare in Crane,
Missouri.
Ruby was a lifelong resident of the Cape Fair area and a member of the 65
Full Gospel Church in Spokane, Missouri. She was a homemaker, farmer and the
owner of Maple Hill Restaurant in Cape Fair for 13 years where she made many
friends, served the community and was always willing to extend a helping hand to
those in need. Rudy moved to Gatewood, Missouri where she owned and operated The
Gatewood Cafe for 3 years where she continued to extend a helping hand to those
in need. Grandma Ruby loved making hot rolls for family gathering and her
church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred Getman, Chester
Jenkins and Leroy Getman; sisters,, Tennie Blevins and Rosie
Horton.
Survivors include 3 sons, Bill Essary and wife Linda of Cape Fair, Joe
Essary and wife Susan of Cape Fair and Jason Tinker and wife Judy of Branson,
Missouri; daughter, Ceclia Ann Jones and husband Carol of Highlandville,
Missouri; 4 brothers John Getman, David Getman, Oscar Getman, Orville Jones and
sister, Viola Jones. Ruby was proud of her 14 grandchildren and her 32 great
grandchildren she loved them all so very much. She also leaves behind a host of
many friends she met along the way. Grandma Ruby will remain in our hearts
always.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in
Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Burial will be in Cape Fair Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00
a.m.
