Thelma Tolbert, 84, Cape Fair, Missouri was born July 6, 1940 in Cape Fair, MO to Wayne and Lora Asher Wilson and departed this life July 31, 2024.
Thelma was a life long resident of the area and owner her own housekeeping business before retiring. Thelma enjoyed quilting, crocheting doilies, and collecting teapots.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jimmie Wilson and Albin Wilson; one granddaughter, Jaynee Elizabeth Fountain as well as a host of brothers and sisters in law. All who were waiting for her when she entered that city and ran on streets of gold.
She is survived by her husband, Jackie Tolbert; two daughters Lora (John) Layton of Hollister, MO; Lydia (Roger) Brown of Cape Fair, MO. Three grandchildren, Nathan (Brittany) Bunch; Regina Bunch; Jolita (Andy) Brotherton: Seven grandchildren by heart, John Ross; Crystal Layton; Dustin Layton; April Brown; Jessica Brown; Hannah Ash and Hollee Brown: Eighteen great grandchildren: Three sisters, Myrna Hammers; June Wilson; Virginia Rosecrans and a host of brother and sister in laws.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri. Burial was inin Clio cemetery Jenkins, Missouri. Visitation was August 2, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
