Virginia Lee Martin, 78, Nixa, Missouri was born February 27, 1939 at Stone County, Missouri to Finis and Maggie Bell Rinker Lasiter and departed this life August 25, 2017 at the Bradford Court assisted living at Nixa, Missouri.
Virginia was a lifelong resident of the area and member of the Victory Baptist Church, Nixa. She was a caring, loving mother and grandmother. Virginia was a homemaker and worked taking care of people.
Preceding her in death were here parents; two brothers, Jake and Jeff Lasiter.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Shipman and wife Lisa of Marshfield, Missouri and Johnsie Martin and wife Carrie of Nixa; two daughters, Reta Elliott and Lori Retone and husband David all of Nixa; a sister, Brenda Kerans and husband Neal of Wichita, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday August 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Burial will be at Mars Hill Cemetery, Crane under the care of Westrip Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, August 28, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
