Alice "Chris" Christofferson, of Galena, Mo passed away August 2nd, 2013.
She was born January 20, 1937 in Britton, South Dakota. She was preceded in
death by her parents Didrek and Esther Didreckson and her daughter Lisa Marie.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Erman Christofferson Sr. and
her children and spouses Wanita Hoyt (Michael), Kathy Payne (Steve), Erman
Christofferson Jr. (Maureen) and Lori Basso (Anthony Sr.) 10 Grandchildren and
10 Great Grandchildren, Brothers Didrek Didreckson Jr., Pete Didreckson and
sister Ethel Styron.
Chris was raised in Marshall County, South Dakota and moved to Orange Ca
in July of 1965 with her husband and children. In California she worked at St.
Joseph Hospital from 1966 until 1973.
In1973 she began working with her husband to build their own business
Christofferson Excavation and Grading. Upon retirement in 1994 her and her
husband moved to Galena, Mo. In 1995 she became a licensed realtor. She went to
work for Carol Jones Realtors in Republic, MO in 1995. She then transfered to
Springfield, MO 1999 and remained with that company until her passing. She was
an officer on the Board of Realtors and received many accommodations.
Chris was a wonderful wife, mother , grandmother and great grandmother.
She loved her family and cherished all her wonderful friends.
She was always there to help and advise all those in need. She had a
wonderful smile which welcomed everyone. She will be missed by all.
Services were held August 7, 2013 in Westrip Funeral Home Crane, Missouri at 3:00 to
4:00. All those who cannot make that can come from 4:00 to 6:00 on Wednesday
after the service to show their respects.
