Cleota Faye Bowling
Cleota Faye Bowling, 73, Crane, Missouri was born March 29, 1939 in Stone
County, Missouri to Loyd and Fleda Wilson Bowling and departed this life Friday,
March 15, 2013 in Cox Medical Center South Springfield,
Missouri.
Cleota was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Bowling
Chapel Church. She helped with organizing fund raisers for her church and was a
member of the Red Hatters.
Arts and crafts were something she enjoyed along with her
family, church family and friends. Cleota became confined to a wheelchair at the
age of 12 and had worked alongside
her sister, Elaine as a part time receptionist at the B.F. Carney Insurance
office in Crane.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Thula Mae and
Elaine Bowling and a brother, Wayne (Bud)
Bowling.
Survivors include a brother, Howard Bowling and wife Carolyn of
Springfield; a niece, Gina Rowe and husband Ray Dean, their three daughters,
Mackenzie and Marlee of Crane, Megan and Husband Craig Rice of Galena, Missouri
and their son, Hayden Rice; two nephews, Jeff Bowling and wife Jackie, their two
children, Jade and Jordan of Crane, Randy Bowling and wife Brenda and their two
children Brandi and Kyle of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Cleta Bowling of
Crane.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in
Westrip Funeral Home, Crane. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service
time at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Bowling Chapel Cemetery, Crane under the
care of Westrip Funeral Home,
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bowling
Chapel Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
