Dennis Carroll Bowling, 70, Harrisville, Mississippi, formerly of Crane, Missouri was born October 13, 1943 in Omak, Washington to Lester Wilburn and Jewel Mae Wells Bowling and departed this life January 7, 2014 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Dennis had attended Southwest Missouri State and was of the Methodist faith. He had worked in the Ministry for over 30 years, last fall he had moved to Harrisville, Mississippi to become the Pastor of the United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Lester Wilburn and Jewel Mae Bowling and a sister, Nedra Smith.
Survivors include two son, Lester Shawn Bowling and wife Amy of Pensacola, Florida and Darren Bowling and wife Dawn of Union City, Tennessee: six grandchildren, Carmen Bowling, Christopher Bowling, Chase Bowling, Meri-Morgan Bowling and Taylor and Tyler Bowling; his ex-wife, Sandra Price
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Bowling Chapel Church Crane, Missouri with burial in the Bowling Chapel Cemetery under the care of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contribution may be to Untied Methodist Community on Relief or to Bowling Chapel Church in care of the funeral home.
