James Ray Shockley

James Ray Shockley, 62 Crane Missouri was born August 6, 1954 at Springfield, Missouri to Chester and Francis Minnie Smith Shockley and departed this life January 5, 2017 at Ozark Regional Healthcare Crane, Missouri.
James attended school at Harrisonville, Missouri and spent most of his life in the Springfield and Crane areas. He retired from a position with Greene Valley State School , Springfield in 2002.
He served his country and was a Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved motorcycles and never grew tired of talking about his "Harley" and the joy it brought him. James received loving care for many years from the staff at Ozark Regional Healthcare and also Preferred Hospice during the last few months of his as he battled multiple sclerosis.
He had a brother and a sister and was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services were held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield under the care of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. James was laid to rest by his parents on January 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
