Miriam Geraldine Loftis, 96, Galena, Missouri was born January 9, 1919 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Alfred and Julia Hooper and departed this life July, 12, 2015.
Miriam had been a resident of the area for the past 25 years coming from Frederick, Oklahoma. She had worked as a sales clerk and was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ, Galena, Missouri. Miriam was the youngest and last survivor of thirteen children. Miriam and Albert Loftis were married December 12, 1937 in Altos Oklahoma.
Preceding her in death were here parents; husband, Albert and twelve brothers and sisters.
Miriam is survived by two daughters, Carole Fancher and husband Rodney of Galena and Kathy Reed and husband Jerry of Yukon, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Tracy Logsdon and husband Bob of Springfield, Missouri, Jo Westermier and husband Ed of Luther, Oklahoma, Christy Stumpff and husband Kurt of Crane, Missouri, Shawn Fancher and wife Tiffany of Crane and Jered Reed and wife Casey of Yukon, Oklahoma; ten great grandchildren, Casey Parrish and husband Matt, AJ Westermier and wife Ashley, Kyle Logsdon, Kent Westermier, Bailey Fancher, Clay Stumpff, Garret Fancher, Glen Jimerson, Brett Reed and Grace Reed; one great great grandchild, Clark Parrish, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Westrip Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on July 17, 2015 at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery, Frederick, Oklahoma under the care of Westrip Funeral Home, Crane.
