Nancy“Eloise” Stephens
Nancy Eloise Stephens, daughter of Ernest and Velma Norwood was born
April 9, 1930 in Rocky, Oklahoma and departed this life March 22, 2013 at
Westside Health Care, Springfield, Missouri at the age of
82.
Eloise was united in marriage to George Stephens on January 29, 1947.
They were charter members of the Morning Star Baptist Church in Crane, Missouri.
Eloise had lived in the area for the past 54 years. She was a homemaker, an
excellent seamstress and an over-the-road truck driver along with
George.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and two
brothers, Homer and Winfred Norwood.
Survivors include two sons, Allen Stephens and wife Rae-Jean of
Springfield and Wesley Stephens and wife Vicky of Warrensburg; a daughter, Kathy
Thompson of Republic; two sisters, Joyce Paul of Exeter and Wanda Paul of
Cassville; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Simpson and Wilma Branham both of Aurora;
seven grandchildren: Leslie Conklin, Keith Stephens, Greg Stephens, Lori Vestal,
Jennifer Choi, Michael Stephens and Angie White; eight great grandchildren:
Darrin Stephens, Sydney Hanafin, Joseph Choi, Drew Hanafin, Nathan Stephens,
Jackson Choi, Tyler Stephens and Brecken Vestal; a dear friend, Arlene Britton
and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Westrip
Funeral Home, Crane, Missouri. Burial will be at Nolan Cemetery, Galena,
Missouri under the care of Westrip Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday,
March 25, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral
home.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be sent to
Hospice.
